Peel and devein shrimp, keeping tails intact if desired, and pat dry with paper towels.

Mince the garlic and mix with paprika, chilli flakes, salt, and olive oil to form a coarse marinade. Toss the shrimp in the mixture.

Melt the butter in a large skillet over high heat until foaming.

Add the shrimp in a single layer and sear without moving for 2 minutes, then flip and cook for 2 more minutes until pink and opaque.
